Turn an idea into a plan that fits your life
Choose a scenario, work through three preparation steps, then record your decisions. These are general planning guides and editorial examples; check specific places, costs and conditions for your trip.

City walks: start with one neighbourhood
Spend time together without filling the day with transfers and queues.
- Agree on meeting and return transport, and how far everyone wants to walk.
- Choose one main area and one place to pause; check opening hours, queues and minimum spend separately.
- List food and transport costs, plus an indoor alternative nearby. Leave unknown costs open.
See a planning example
Editorial example: meet → explore one area → coffee break → head home. If a cafe has a long wait, use a checked alternative instead of spending the afternoon in a queue.

Family picnic: choose the 60- or 120-minute version
Daan Forest Park’s official page lists 24-hour access, shade, rest areas, an accessible toilet and a nursing room. Treat the times below as editorial planning boxes, not bookings.
- Pick the fit: use 60 minutes for one shaded base, food, one suitable play zone and cleanup; use 120 minutes only when the group benefits from a slower loop and a second rest.
- Verify the day: check park notices and Taipei weather; confirm each child’s play-zone age range, food needs, mobility and toilet breaks. Do not infer that unpriced items are free.
- Pack and exit: reuse containers, split food/water/cleanup jobs, and return to Daan Forest Park MRT or move the meal indoors in heavy rain, heat or fatigue.
What to enter in the plan
Companions, start time, one shaded base, food jobs, rest/toilet checks and the weather exit. The current plan page does not prefill these fields.

Easy cycling: choose a timed Tamsui return
The official 1.7 km sea-wall section is 3 m wide and open 06:00–19:00. Use the 60/120-minute options as editorial time boxes; check live conditions and docking before departure.
- Set the turnaround: 60 minutes keeps one simple out-and-back; 120 minutes may add the sea-wall section only when wind, daylight and group stamina still fit.
- Check bike and cost: inspect brakes, tyres, saddle and helmet; verify the first and backup dock. Current YouBike 2.0 examples are member NT$10/30 or temporary rental NT$20/40 for 60/120 minutes; temporary rental also places a NT$3,000 authorization hold.
- Protect the return: keep a dock and transit buffer. Turn back early or switch to light rail/bus when rain, wind or fatigue changes the plan; bike availability and service disruptions remain live unknowns.
What to enter in the plan
Riders, first and backup dock, checkout time, turnaround time, known fare, authorization hold and weather/exit rule. The current plan page does not prefill these fields.

Pet outings: pick one format, then prepare the exit
Match fenced play, a leashed sniff walk or a meal to the dog’s state, companions and weather.
- Confirm the official place or branch rules for today: opening, leash or carrier, access area, reservation and any fees.
- Write one time box and an early-exit trigger. Do not treat a general park as an off-leash area or an ordinary retailer/venue link as a booking.
- Pack water, cleanup and carrying items; record unknown costs and a weather backup before leaving.
See a Taoyuan planning example
Choose Xiangyang fenced play, a leashed riverside walk or Second Floor TaiMall dining as one primary format. If crowding, heat, rain or access conditions fail, end the outing or switch to the pre-checked backup rather than adding another stop.

Golf: choose the commitment before the venue
Use written prices to compare a one-hour self-practice session, a one-hour beginner lesson and an 18-hole round.
- Write companions, date, travel radius and whether the goal is a low-commitment trial, coached learning or a full round.
- Separate confirmed price inclusions from clubs, balls, clothing, surcharge, food, transport and cancellation that still need confirmation.
- Recheck weather and operator notices. Keep a switch-to-indoor, shorten or leave option instead of treating a paid slot as a safety guarantee.

The 2026-10-07 guide records Friends Golf at NT$400–700/hour by time band, CP Golf at NT$3,000/hour for 1–5 people, and Linkou Golf at NT$4,800 weekday or NT$5,700 holiday. It also lists what each source does not settle.

Diving: trial, course or certified trip?
Choose by certification and learning goal first, then let the qualified operator decide prerequisites, health documents and sea-day suitability.
- First trial: the checked shore option is NT$2,500, about 2.5–3 hours with 30–40 minutes underwater and a 12 m maximum. Minimum age 10; health declaration required.
- Open Water course: three days and NT$14,000, with equipment, certification application, cylinders, insurance and training listed as included. Dinner, lodging and transport are excluded.
- Certified fun dive: checked prices range from NT$1,050 for one shore dive to NT$2,600 for two boat dives; full-equipment rental is NT$1,250/day. Bring certification details and ask about recent-experience, guide, site and cancellation requirements.
What should go into the plan?
Record companions, certification/experience, date and region, shore or boat format, transport, equipment inclusions, known costs, unknown fees, cancellation/weather conditions and an exit trigger. Do not treat this plan as a medical, qualification or sea-condition decision.

Nature walks: choose the open section, then the return
- Compare Linmei and Xinliao by access boundary, surface and approach; choose one option that fits the group.
- Pack water, a snack, rain protection and a phone. Confirm transport, toilets and unknown costs; an unlisted price does not mean free.
- Set a latest turnaround. Cancel the trail segment and return to transport if closed or weather deteriorates.
Yilan: Linmei and Xinliao trade-offs · Yangmingshan: Erziping or Qingtiangang · Neidong: paved waterfall return or longer forest add-on · Start planning (manual entry)
Yilan sources checked 2026-09-28; Yangmingshan 2026-10-15; Neidong 2026-10-20. Time budgets are editorial, not a personal field test.
Museum days: choose the window, one exhibition and an exit
- Choose daytime or Saturday evening for the companions and return journey; do not treat after-17:00 entry as a full evening on other days.
- Pick one exhibition and budget 15 minutes to arrive/store items, 55 minutes to view and 20 minutes to collect items/leave. This is an editorial 90-minute plan.
- Confirm the actual ticket category, gallery notices, transport and unknown food/parking costs. Shorten the visit if conditions or energy change.

Rail day trips: choose the return before adding stops
- Choose the origin and return service first. Save the next available return and your onward journey as the backup.
- Pick one stop length. The Jingtong example compares 75 and 135 minutes, including boarding buffer.
- Record the known adult fare of NT$44 each way from Ruifang, and leave home-to-Ruifang travel, food, parking and shopping as costs to confirm.

TRA and New Taipei sources checked 2026-09-29. Timings are a dated planning example, not a live timetable, reservation or availability service.
Camping & glamping: choose the service level before the scenery
- Compare self-pitch, equipped stay and a day or cabin fallback by who does the setup, what is actually included and what fits the group.
- Ask for one written total covering the site or package, transport, food, mandatory extras, deposits and missing equipment. Planning examples are not quotes.
- Check the legal operator listing, facilities, access, cancellation terms and departure-day weather alerts; agree on an exit trigger before paying.

Official Tourism Administration and CWA sources checked 2026-09-30. The plan form does not check inventory, reserve a site or judge safety.
Beach days: choose the activity boundary before the coast
- Choose shore-only or managed water from the companions and the purpose of the day. A planning range is 60–120 minutes ashore or 120–240 minutes for managed water; these are editorial estimates, not official durations.
- Write the exact coast, start and return point, transport, known costs and every unknown. Check the current authority notice, opening or lifesaving hours, operator rules, weather and tide before committing; an unlisted fee is not free.
- Pack for shade, water, footwear, dry clothes and rubbish. Agree on an exit trigger. When notices, weather, waves, visibility or anyone’s condition change, remain ashore or leave for an indoor backup.

Hot spring break: match companions to the bathing format
- Compare a shared bath, private room and foot soak by privacy, mobility, child or caregiver needs and how easily everyone can leave.
- Choose one current operator, then record the badge validity, full price, what is included, age and attire rules, accessibility, booking, cancellation and last admission. Unknown fees remain unknown—not zero.
- Allow time to hydrate, change and rest. Follow posted cautions; if anyone feels unwell, leave the water, notify staff and use the agreed indoor or return-transport fallback.
Full guide: compare shared bath, private room and foot soak · Current Beitou option: culture walk or booked private room during the public-bath closure · Start a plan (manual entry)
General official tourism, law, health and hygiene sources checked 2026-10-02; Beitou venue/closure sources checked 2026-10-17. The public bath remains closed and its reopening date is pending. Private-room availability, full price and cancellation must be confirmed for the trip date. This is not a booking or medical-clearance service.
Food & market outings: choose the time box before the food list
- Compare a covered daytime market with an outdoor evening market by companions, opening hours, transport and weather.
- Choose one market; record a food budget ceiling, known transport cost and every unknown stall price rather than treating missing prices as zero.
- Recheck closure and weather notices, keep a 20-minute exit buffer and leave early for rain, crowding or fatigue.
Taipei guide: compare Nanmen by day and Ningxia at night · Taichung guide: Second Market by day or Feng Chia by night · Start a plan (manual entry)
Taipei Market Administration sources checked 2026-10-02; Taichung Tourism sources checked 2026-10-18. Stall-specific hours, prices, date-specific transport and step-free details remain pending. Not a visit, booking or live-capacity service.
Creative workshops: choose the hand skill before the souvenir
- Choose painting, hand-building or wheel throwing by the motion each companion wants to try, the instruction language, mobility and the patience for firing—not by the prettiest finished sample.
- Write the date, transport, listed starting price, live capacity, minimum independent age, accessibility, full total, firing wait and pickup or delivery. Unknowns stay unknown until the operator confirms them.
- Read refund and change terms before payment. If language, age, mobility, firing wait or timing does not fit, switch method or date; keep a clear exit instead of forcing the session.
Full guide: compare painting, hand-building and wheel throwing · Start a plan (manual entry)
Operator and official destination sources checked 2026-10-03. This is source-based planning, not a visit, purchase, booking or live-capacity check.
Weekend getaways: lock the overnight base and return first
- Choose one overnight base and compare the two days as an order decision: trail-first when the official status and weather fit, or museum-first when indoor time works better.
- Record the named lodging’s room rate, inclusions, check-in/out and cancellation; add date-specific train fare and schedule, local transfer, activity fee and every unknown separately.
- Set a day-one stop time and a day-two return cutoff. Trail closure, severe weather, illness or a missed buffer means switch order, shorten or return—not add more stops.
